Where do you usually rent cars?

My boss offered me the position of head of the procurement department at our company, and of course I accepted. It comes with a significant salary increase, and the job itself is more interesting, since I’ll be traveling all over the USA. This immediately raised a question for me. Where can I rent cars for these trips? Are there any rental companies that operate nationwide, or is it better to look for small local providers in each city?

Today, large car rental providers are common in our country. They have fleets even in small towns, although their prices are usually higher and their terms stricter. Their insurance is always in order, and the cars are well maintained. There are also small private rental companies and even individual owners who rent out their cars, and you can always find a car to rent from them here: https://getrentacar.com/en-US/car-rental . They usually offer more flexible terms and sometimes an even larger selection of vehicles. However, there may be pitfalls, such as expired insurance or other issues with the car. All of this should be checked before renting a vehicle. Ultimately, where it’s best for you to rent is up to you.
